I don't actually think it does.
There's so much wasted effort spent looking back on the past, again and again, mulling over ghosts and what-ifs. We just keep doing it! I can't help but wonder what the point is. I mean, I do it because I don't really have much of a choice. It's all that slips through the cracks for me, what informs these maybe-futures that I see play out.
